I have had the pleasure of visiting 2 establishments for lunch and one for dinner. I had not been to Lennon’s in Carlow and myself and himself were travelling back from Dublin and decided to detour for lunch. I have to admit at this stage that I am related (by marriage) to the head chef at Lennon’s.
The cafe is in a most lovely location, and we were welcomed immediately at the door, even though the restaurant was fairly full. The seating was lovely, not too close to other customers, and a very big, clear board over the kitchen pass with the specials on it.
Nigel had the soup special and I had a most delicious ploughman’s lunch. Gail offered us some hand cut chips on the side, which were very welcome with a lovely garlic dip.

The staff were so nice, customer service is obviously a priority, one further comment, the coffee we finished our meal with was really delicious, and of really good quality. I would love to return, with more time to enjoy the full range – in other words- have a pud!
